Adult pay site reviews! Read this!

I've contemplated joining pay sites but am concerned about safety, first: how safe is it giving your credit card info to a porn site; second, what about picking up nasty viruses and spyware from these sites. Any comments appreciated. :hatsoff:
P.S. love Freeones!

I am responding to this 6 month old question more to readers wondering the same thing reading this now than to the person originally posted this:

Nonetheless, it's a very good question.

Credit card info safety: Sites that use a reputable third party billing service (CCBill, Epoch, etc) you will have the most safety and least risk of theft. Services such as these have 24 hour customer service phone numbers and emails and you will get a resolution to your billing problems very quickly; what few problems I had were rectified by phone within 5 minutes tops at any given time of the day or night, which includes hold time.

I would stay away from billing services or sites that use "billing services" that appear amateur; it is an invitation to trouble. Fortunately I only got burned once and learned from it. Rule of thumb: if you have to cancel your subscription by email, you are taking a big risk.

Viruses and spyware: Most sites worth their salt won't infect your computer with viruses and software, they're in business to make money and won't do anything stupid to jeopardize making more money. Believe it or not, it's the heavily advertised "free" sites that you are at the highest risk of getting a nasty computer virus or other infection.

Personally, the one site I know of that IMHO is the biggest virus trap isn't even a porn site at all, though it is a video-heavy site.

Re: quick question

Is it the norm to buy 30 day access and then cancel? Do most sites have enough content to warrant a montly subscription? The site I'm thinking about registering for is like $35/month and that's over $400 for a whole year!! That seems like too much money for me. BUT...if most sites update/refresh content than it might be worth it?

Anyone have any comments?

Again another old post but good question too good to ignore:

I do it on a regular basis; and for me it is because I like trying out a lot of sites and with the frequency I do so, it is all too easy for me to forget I subscribed, and wind up disputing a charge on something I forgot to cancel. I subscribed to two websites and forgot to cancel, and wound up calling my credit card company on why I had a balance on a credit card I paid in full. It turned out I had been paying three additional months because I forgot to cancel.

As far as content over cost, I can tell you with the ATKingdom websites (and similar sites such as Karups and Twistys), unless you are unemployed and behind a computer 24/7, you will NOT get through all the content in a single month. It is that overwheming (in a good way, of course).

Nowadays, websites are offering "package subscriptions" (subscribe to site A, and get subscriptions to sites B-L absolutely free). This was somewhat rare several years ago, but is picking up steam rather quickly. And these sites oftentimes give good quality content (Brazzers come to mind--you will OD on some boobs PDQ). This raises the incentive to keep you subscription to that site for several months at least.

To answer your question somewhat, if that site is your niche and as a rule of thumb if you keep cancelling and resubscribing to that site frequently, you're probably better off just keeping a recurring subscription to that site for the maximum period of time. You might wind up getting discounts by default simply by virtue of your longevity to that site (I need to do that with the ATK sites).

Hope this helps.

And what about pabill.com?
I'm very interested in a membership to a gay site. (Mature Gay Movies)

I did have a membership to a paysite once. And that was the worst thing that ever happened to me...

That was the one and only time that I did such a thing. My membership was cancelled from the site owner within several days after signing in. I wasn't suspicious about it and thought this to be "normal". I never had a membership to pay - and surely not for porn... That was my first time ever signing up and paying for such stuff.
But then my bank account was showing up strange transactions. Smaller ones at first which went by undetected by me. But then I lost the amount of several hundred dollars at once and I was scared beyond my mind. I went to the police and I got my money back in the end.
But I'm scared now and hesitating to sign up for a membership again. Although I went through all available informations on those paysite (including pabill.com, customer support, etc) I'm still unsecure if I should take the risk again and pay with credit card again... I'm outside the states (Europe) so there isn't another payment possibility for me, sadly.

thanks for your help
Muriel

Myth 1: Men want sex more than women
I have been a member of several Adult Pay Sites, and the best source for reviews is thebestporn.com. I always check out other review sites as well. I generally go back to The Best Porn for a final say on the site. I don't benefit from recommending their site. Just trying to help my fellow porn fans.

Where do all the old reviews go?

anyone else have any trouble with Pornaccess.com?
I recently spent £1.00(GBP) on a trial membership.
the same night i had a reciept come up for Peternorth.com saying i'd bought a 3 day membership for that website, i resolved that issue with the pay site and got my money refunded to me, but on the 18th i've supposedly been charged £29.95(GBP) for what i had at first thought to be a month membership, upon closer inspection i found out they're charging me this amount for a day, this is the first time i've dealt with buying memberships to pornsites, but i have to wonder, does Pornaccess always do this? and am i likely to get that money back?
I also at first assumed that maybe the pay site had charged me for something i hadn't bought, so i asked them first (PABill.com have yet to get back to me on the matter)
But luckily i decided to look into my order info to find out what it was i had supposedly bought and found out it was Pornaccess.com.

so yeah, any help on the subject?

Adult pay site reviews Read this

I am instituting a new rule as far as site reviews go: If you do not respond within a week 7 days after the first reply in your thread, your thread will be deleted without notice. This is the help filter out people who post up reviews solely for self promotion/advertising.

Cumming to a town near you.
Adultfriendfinder will give the same result/content as some of these pay sites. The money to be made on these pay sites is all in the advertising.
